The Great Barrier Reef is one of the very few great natural wonders of the world. It stretches for almost 2,100 kilometres along the north-eastern coast of Australia. The reef is a collection of many individual coral reefs and is in fact the largest group of coral reefs in the world.
The Great Barrier Reef is aptly named as it is truly 'Great' and is the only living organism that can be seen from space.
